Evi Taşımak
“Evi Taşımak” isimli iş, Bayburt’taki Baksı Müzesi için tasarlanmış, taşıma kolileri kullanılarak inşaa edilmiş mekana özgü bir iştir. Belirli bir müze ve belirli bir lokasyon için 1/6 ölçekte üretilmiş olan bu saat kulesi replikası, Bayburt ve bölgede yaşayan yerel halk için tarihi bir öneme sahip.
'Ev'i Taşımak' isimli enstalasyon, 1912'de Bayburt'tan Çorum'a göç etmek zorunda kalan Bayburtlu muhacirlerin evlerinden sürülmesi ve Çorum'da göçebe olarak yaşadıkları yıllar boyunca evleri olarak benimsedikleri Çorum'daki tarihi saat kulesini yıllar sonra Bayburt'a döndüklerinde yeniden inşaa etmelerine kadar uzanan hikayeyi görünür kılmakta.
Mesafe ve Temas isimli sergikapsamında Bayburt’taki Baksı Müzesi’ne yerleştirdiğim 2.replika ise, zaten tarihimizin ayrılmaz bir parçası olan göçebe kültüre referans veren ve kentte yaşayan ve Bayburt’a davet edilmiş bir sanatçı olarak karton taşıma kolilerini kullanarak kurduğum bir geçici heykel niteliği taşıyor. 41 adet koli kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiş saat kulesi replikasının dört cephesi de Bayburt’taki saat kulesinin çizimi uygulanmıştır.
Moving House
The artwork titled ‘Moving House’ is a site-specific work designed for the Baksı Museum in Bayburt and constructed with cardboard shipping boxes. A replica of a clock tower, produced in 1/6 scale for a specific museum and a specific location, has a historical value for Bayburt and the local residents in the area.
The installation ‘Moving House’ makes visible the story that starts with the displacement of refugees from Bayburt who were obliged to immigrate to Çorum in 1912, and extends over the time they return to Bayburt after long years and reconstruct the historical clock tower from Çorum, where they lived as nomads for years and which they adopted as their home.
The second replica, Saray, located as part of the exhibition Distance and Contact in Baksı Museum in Bayburt, features a temporary sculpture constructed with cardboard shipping boxes by an artist who refers to the nomad culture as an integral part of our history, lives in the city and was invited to Bayburt. All four sides of the clock tower replica, executed with 41 boxes, has the drawing of the clock tower in Bayburt.
