Handke’ye Saygı
Postmodern sinemanın başlangıcı olarak kabul edebileceğimiz 1987 tarihli ‘Der Himmel Über Berlin’ (türkçe adıyla ‘Arzunun Kanatları’, ingilizce adıyla ‘Wings of Desire’) adlı film, yönetmen Wim Wenders’in birçok filminde birlikte çalışmış olduğu Alman edebiyatçı Peter Handke’nin “Lied Vom Kindsein” (Çocuk Olmanın Şarkısı) adlı şiiriyle başlar.
Dille dünya arasındaki ‘boş’luk, Peter Handke’nin odaklarından biridir. Handke’nin edebiyatındaki boşluk kavramı, uygar olarak nitelendirilen toplumlardaki ilişkisizliğin özgürleştirici ve öldürücü boyutlarını vurgular. Handke’yle okuyucu olarak paylaştığımız boşluk duygusu o kadar mahrem ve aynı zamanda o kadar paylaşıma açık bir kavramdır ki, aslında tam da bugünün metropol insanının yalnızlığını tarif eder. Himmel Über Berlin’de Handke’nin şiiri tekrar yazılmaktadır, üstelik görüntüdeki anlatısallık da yazma edimi üzerinden çalışan bir yapıya işaret eder. Metnin, bu yeniden üretim sürecinde hareketli görüntü ve ses gibi sinemasal öğelerle etkisi katlanarak artmaktadır. Şimdi Lied Vom Kindsein’ı yeniden yazma zamanı. Tıpkı kendi sözlerimizmiş gibi…
Tribute to Handke
Dating from 1987 and considered as the poineer of postmodern cinema, the film “Der Himmel Über Berlin” begins with the poem “Lied Vom Kindsein” (Song of Being a Child) by Peter Handke, whom the director Wim Wenders has worked with in many of his films. The feeling of void we, as the reader, share with Handke is so intimately personal yet at the same time can be so easily empathized with that it perfectly describes the solitude of today’s metropolitan beings. In “Himmel Über Berlin” Handke’s poem is rewritten, moreover the monumentality of the image points to a structure that works through the means of the act of writing. During this reproduction phase, due to the cinematographic elements such as the moving image and the sound, the effect of the text multiplies in monifolds. Now is the time to rewrite Lied Vom Kindsein, as if they were our own words…
