Yeni Ay “Der Himmel Über Berlin” filmindeki Marion karakterinin yeni ay gecesinde söylediği sözlerden oluşmaktadır. Bir kadınla erkeğin adeta bağlılık sözü verdiği cümleler bu kez sanki Damiel’in sözleriymiş gibi yeniden yazılmaktadır.
Artık cinsiyet ortadan kalkmıştır ve bu ‘yeni ay konuşması’ çiftin ölümsüz aşkının bir yankısı niteliğindedir.
New Moon
The work called New Moon consists of the speech of “Der Himmel über Berlin” character Marion at the newmoon night. These sentences, as they are a promise of faith between man and woman, were rewritten as the words of the main character Damiel .
